Our Young People
Our young people are our future, and at Restoration, we support their walk. We teach the youth of our church community to live by the greatest of all commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." - Mark 12:30, NIV
Harrisburg - February 23-25, 2018
An estimated 1,500 teens from communities across the U.S. attended the Pursue Christian Teen Convention in February, 2018. Restoration was well-represented there with 12 teens in attendance. Started in 2983, PCTC was designed to support middle school and high school students in their pursuit of a relationship with God though fellowship, Biblical teaching and worship.
Robert Morris University (RMU) Sports Center, Coraopolis - June 13, 2018
Fun, fellowship and a little friendly competition as we take to the mini golf course at RMU Sports Center.
Pittsburgh - March 31, 2018
Our youth celebrated the Passover Week by taking a "Living Life of Christ Tour" around the city of Pittsburgh. The journey wasn't about the places we went, but about the One we found in each place we stopped. It included visiting a farm to discuss the birth of Christ; a river to reflect on His baptism; the Mt. Washington overlook to visualize Jesus's temptation in the desert; a hillside garden similar to Gethsemane; and a cemetery to discuss His death and victorious resurrection. After completing the tour, we served by distributing gifts to the seniors at the Willow Heights Independent Living Center.
We exist to TAKE the gospel to all people, to TRANSFORM hearts to be like Jesus, and TRAIN disciples to make more disciples.
